EA-Tiger Woods 09

Those of us who have played Tiger Woods 06 and 07 would be greatly impressed by the fact that this version of Tiger Woods 09 is drastically changed both in terms of features and graphics.

Perhaps the most striking thing that one can’t help noticing is the close resemblance of the game to that of the PC and X-box. The mobile version of the game includes all the features and playing experience that one would except from EA.

We even have plenty of Game modes like practice, Freeplay, tournament, custom game etc wherein we can choose the ground where we want to play etc. The level of expertise is mainly divided into three modes amateur, legend and pro based on the level of expertise that is involved in the gameplay. These modes are greatly affected by the wind factors and Friction that have been implemented with great detail.

The game also features two viewing modes the shot mode and the aim mode which helps the player to decide where he wants the ball to land and take its course. It also involves taking control of the ball after the shot is taken. We can control the direction and the spin of the ball accordingly. This gives us a very realistic approach of the game.

The clubs used for taking the shot are automatically chosen by the game logic and we can actually change the clubs accordingly however there is a penalty involved in case we choose wrong club for a particular shot (Another thing which makes the user so glued to the game).

Another amazing feature is the fact that we can download additional players and grounds we want to play in (apart from the default ones). We are even allowed to customize our player wherein we can choose all the details like the texture, dress etc.

Another important feature that captures our attention is the fact that there is so much detail put into designing of the Greens. The grid lines in the Greens actually show the level of the ball above and below the base ground and one has to take the factors of both the spin the ball and that of friction to get the ball into the putting area. The grid lines mainly denoted by the colors green blue and red determine whether the ball is on the level or not

The scoring system is also so simple even for a newcomer to understand. It shows par of the ground and the number of shots taken for us to get the ball in and thereby calculating our score. Even the concept of GIR has been implemented in the in-game but has left out the actual stats that have been implemented actual GOLF (Where in it’s is determined to decide the level of expertise of the player).

Finally my final verdict would be that I have to admit that EA has lived to its expectations (Actually must say exceeded) .The amount of detail and expertise that has been put in this version has to be appreciated and an end user like me would greatly impressed by such gaming experience.

Inflation--- a very synonymous term that all of us would have come across at some point or the other in our life. But of late i’ve actually started to feel the pinch of Inflation—some thing I never bothered about before.

Not a single day used to pass then without my mom complaining about the rising prices and about my dad cribbing about how he’s going to manage resources (Yeah right was in my college days then) All the time I used to think that my parents were jus another bunch of people who always found fault with the ongoings of the world (I’m sure u would’ve felt the same about ur parents as well). My college life used to be rocking without any botheration whatsoever. . All I was bothered was only about my pocket money and fuel in my bike (Life was so easy then).

Now that I’m employed and earn a decent amount of money (Apart from the few commitments I have) I was actually thinking that I was free and can do whatever I feel like(In terms of spending and things like that) but little did I realize that I was just another person who was going to be affected by what I didn’t even have a clue about . Nowdays I have to be wary of everything I do. Going to decent restaurants (leave alone the expensive ones) buy a beer or two from a club, go for a movie(my dad still laughs when I tell him that I end up spending about 300 for a movie), take a girl out(Oh my god!!!) everything absolutely everything. Even the fancy discount boards at the malls don’t excite me much (Not anymore), so much so that I’ve started to feel the pinch whenever I take a ride on my bike.

I have to plan my expenses (Something I never thought I would do---for god sake I’m just 22yrs). Worse still save a little ---yeah sounds funny but remember tomorrow is only gonna get worse. And incase I plan a small trip that’s it---the end of the world probably for the next two or three months I have to plan my expenses and sort them out a zillion times(ask me ---just went on a short trip to Mumbai and god only knows when ll get out of the financial shock---lol)
This blog is not about how about the technical stuff involved about how Inflation rises what effects it has on the economy and stuff like that. I’m just trying to try and tell people how I’ve been affected by a term that didn’t make sense to me until a month ago.

Its just the way I feel and I’m sure there thousands and thousands who’d quite agree with me. I know there’s little that can be done but perhaps I just another person in the world who just cribs about the ongoings of the world.

ONE MEDAL AND BILLION ELATED HEARTS

One medal and a billion delighted hearts. This is the story of Indian Olympic story. No offence but apart from the fact that we keep cribbing about lack of facilities and the corruption among politicians(which we’ve been keeping blaming since Independence) its time we actually figure out what needs to be done in order to restore gaming glory in this nation.

At times when the countries no longer take part in war directly most nations try and prove their supremacy in International events. No matter what is said and done it’s a pretty obvious fact that most nations try and prove their supremacy in proving their mettle in Gaming events. One such incident proving that point is how the Chinese hosted the Beijing Olympics.

Their opening and the amount of money(A mind blogging $43 billion) pumped into hosting this event clearly proves their way of saying that they’ve entered the International stature both in terms of technology and GDP which the Chinese have always been apprehensive in showcasing to the world.(Which clearly sends a signal to both the Russians and USA).

Its hard to believe the fact that the Indians actually are planning to bid for the 2020 Olympics. As a true Indian I truly wish that we actually bid and we host the Olympics but I truly feel that we need to change our outlook and attitude before we actually do that. We still spit on roads, stick billboards on walls and
throw papers all around and worse still pee on roads. I’m probably trying to fit too many things into a single blog but lately I’ve realized how important it is to be on the world map. Frankly speaking no matter how much we brag about ourselves saying that our economy is rising or we have the greatest potential in the world(which we do) but we need to figure out the projects we’re working on the quality of work we’re doing and things like that.

It is a rare feature that we’ve been blessed with such amazing geographical location, with such great water resources, minerals and other resources like coal , oil etc etc and most importantly talent of a billion Indians who can change the outlook and future of both the nation and the world.

I know too much confusion but guys what I’m trying to say is our attitude will decide our future leaders .Its high time we stood for our rights. Choose the best leaders who can take us successfully into the next century. Small things can make lots of difference. Like mother Teresa once told “IF WE KEEP OUR DOORSTEP CLEAN THE WHOLE WILL BE WITHOUT DIRT” not the exact terms but this is basically what she meant. Its high time we actually made realize that we have to be on top.

And lastly kudos to Abhinav Bindra who won the first ever gold at the Olympics in individual event. And like i said a single gold and a billion elated hearts.
