ONE MEDAL AND BILLION ELATED HEARTS

One medal and a billion delighted hearts. This is the story of Indian Olympic story. No offence but apart from the fact that we keep cribbing about lack of facilities and the corruption among politicians(which we’ve been keeping blaming since Independence) its time we actually figure out what needs to be done in order to restore gaming glory in this nation.

At times when the countries no longer take part in war directly most nations try and prove their supremacy in International events. No matter what is said and done it’s a pretty obvious fact that most nations try and prove their supremacy in proving their mettle in Gaming events. One such incident proving that point is how the Chinese hosted the Beijing Olympics.

Their opening and the amount of money(A mind blogging $43 billion) pumped into hosting this event clearly proves their way of saying that they’ve entered the International stature both in terms of technology and GDP which the Chinese have always been apprehensive in showcasing to the world.(Which clearly sends a signal to both the Russians and USA).

Its hard to believe the fact that the Indians actually are planning to bid for the 2020 Olympics. As a true Indian I truly wish that we actually bid and we host the Olympics but I truly feel that we need to change our outlook and attitude before we actually do that. We still spit on roads, stick billboards on walls and
throw papers all around and worse still pee on roads. I’m probably trying to fit too many things into a single blog but lately I’ve realized how important it is to be on the world map. Frankly speaking no matter how much we brag about ourselves saying that our economy is rising or we have the greatest potential in the world(which we do) but we need to figure out the projects we’re working on the quality of work we’re doing and things like that.

It is a rare feature that we’ve been blessed with such amazing geographical location, with such great water resources, minerals and other resources like coal , oil etc etc and most importantly talent of a billion Indians who can change the outlook and future of both the nation and the world.

I know too much confusion but guys what I’m trying to say is our attitude will decide our future leaders .Its high time we stood for our rights. Choose the best leaders who can take us successfully into the next century. Small things can make lots of difference. Like mother Teresa once told “IF WE KEEP OUR DOORSTEP CLEAN THE WHOLE WILL BE WITHOUT DIRT” not the exact terms but this is basically what she meant. Its high time we actually made realize that we have to be on top.

And lastly kudos to Abhinav Bindra who won the first ever gold at the Olympics in individual event. And like i said a single gold and a billion elated hearts.

Thats very sympathetic to see the Indians lamenting the individual for the successful attempt.

Sorry for BAD Phrases...

NO OFFENCE...

The fact remains STILL !!!
A war can not be won with empty Stomach.... I don't know who said it, but it's true. Whatever a person does, if he /she does not get proper recognition, he/she won't do it again, won't even think to try it again.

People with resources can do whatever they want, but to an average person, surviving in this world has got more priority; than getting only a few words of so called praises

i echo your feelings...the "need" for change should be converted to the "urge" for change...i guess that could bring around a change.
